Why I Believe in Nudge Nutrition
The concept of nudge nutrition is for everyone -- make small changes and see big differences in your life. The people who want to live differently. The people who feel like they have tried everything, but nothing sticks. The people who want to be healthier. The people who want a no-nonsense, evidence-based approach. The people who want to live their best life, but aren’t sure where to start.
This website is tailored towards new parents who are walking into the time of their lives where small changes have to make a big impact. If you are: looking to conceive, newly pregnant, postnatal or navigating the first few years of having a little one I want to connect with you and be your guide to all things nutrition and wellness!
Every person has a unique set of challenges they face every day that stand in the way of living their healthiest life. There is no one size fits all approach. I am proud to have created a nutrition and wellness website that uses a straightforward approach to help parents through a very confusing time of their lives.
Nudge Theory is a concept created by two American scholar’s and the concept uses positive reinforcement and suggestions as a way to influence behaviour and decision making. A nudge is meant to be a small change in your life that is easy and inexpensive to begin!
That’s what I was hoping!
Nudge Nutrition is designed to be a nutrition toolbox where you can select from the tools provided based on the areas of your nutrition you are ready to change, the challenges you face and your goals.
When you look at social media or reads the news you may think that making healthy, sustainable change is easy. For the majority of people this just isn’t the case! I know how hard and confusing the whole process of eating and living healthier can be to get started especially through pregnancy, postnatal, infant feeding and starting solids.

You are the exact reason why this approach was built on empathy, honesty and with a focus on YOU! The online tools on this website are here to guide you through the process of nourishing your body and soul to live a healthy and balanced life.
I believe people should have access to the education they need to support their physical and mental health in order to make small changes over time — an audacious goal, but one that’s a priority for me. Not everyone is ready to make a lot of changes or even one change -- That’s okay!
It is important to remember that changes don’t have to be big, drastic leaps. Once you determine what areas of your life are ready to be Nudge’d that’s when you have to decide how much change you can handle. I will help you find ways you can nudge yourself that will work for you every day and will allow you to stay balanced in your life.
Working on your own nutrition will help you build the foundation for your baby to live a healthier life as well. Research has shown that the foods you eat during pregnancy influence the foods that your baby will like for years to come as your baby starts to develop taste memories in the womb.
Nudge Nutrition is a sustainable philosophy and approach to food that will ensure you have a healthy experience from prenatal to starting solids, because it’s a process of understanding where you are starting from and what small Nudges you can build on for a healthy and balanced life.
